Namechange
A namechange is understood as a change of persons on the tickets.
Namechange is in general not permitted, there might be some exceptions.
Restricted tickets:
It is not allowed to change a name on a restricted ticket.
Exception: Namechange requested within the 24 hour grace period.
Flexible tickets:
It is not allowed to change a name on a flexible ticket, in case there are still available seats on the same flights, as the ticket can be cancelled and a new booking can be made with a new name.
Exception: Namechange might be accepted in case of a fully booked flight and the name change is due to "same company, same purpose" trip.
For example; The flight is fully booked, but "Electrician A" can no longer fly to a job and "Electrician B" will travel instead and do the same job.
Namechanges can in any case be denied/rejected by GL.
Name correction
A namecorrection is understood as a correction of the name of the same person.
It is possible to correct a name in case of misspelling, missing or incorrect order of the names.
For all bookingclasses excep booking class G, a namecorrection can be made 1-14 days after ticketing, herafter a namecorrection can be denied by Air Greenland Call Center.
Name correction can possibly be made at the check in counter if the name is not the same as passport.
If the misspelling is more than 3 charecters Air Greenland holds the right to charge the agent for 900DKK for a namechange.
Group bookings
It is possible to namechange a ticketed group booking - up to 7 days before departure - for a fee of DKK 900. Please make your request directly through Amadeus Reservations.
Hereafter - Namechange not allowed.
When re-issueing use XP code for the namechange.
Namecorrection
The agent is responsible for correct names in the PNR, as soon as the agent realise misspelling of a name the agent must contact Air Greenland Agentservice. Namecorrection will need an authorization given by GL/Air Greenland Helpdesk for re-issue with the correct name.
Namecorrection cannot be authorized if there is other airlines in the ticket or if ticket is issued as an interline with SK or FI
Request for name change/correction
The name change or name correction must be requested through queue to GOHGL0980/10
Helpdesk will change/correct the name and insert an authorization to reissue and the agent must reissue the ticket immediately after.
