Baggage allowances
Air Greenland has a weight concept for checked baggages, meaning that they can bring any amount of checked baggage, but they will be charged at check in if the total weight exceed the below limits.
Passengers travelling on economy class are allowed to bring 20kg (44 lbs) and 1 item of cabin baggage weighing up to 8 kg (18 lbs) and with max. dimensions of 55x40x23cm.
On business class checked-in baggage can weigh up to 30 kg (66 lbs) and 2 items of cabin baggage can weigh a total of 8 kg (18 lbs) and with max. dimensions of 55x40x23cm for both items.
If the passenger is travelling without any checked-in baggage, the passenger can bring up to 8 kg (18 lbs) of cabin baggage.
Children below the age of 2 are entitled to have 10 kg (22 lbs) of baggage and a collapsible pushchair (umbrella type). Children over 2 years of age has the same baggage allowances as adults.
Excess baggage

Excess baggage from 75 kg and up must be requested in advance in order to check if they can be guaranteed on the same flights as the passengers.
The input for request for excess weight is:
SRXBAGGL-TTL100kg
You would also need to insert information about the excess baggage; amount of items, type of baggage and dimensions of each colli.
SROTHSGL-content 2 boxes each dims 40x50x60cm max weight
The request will automatically be put on queue to Helpdesk and the pnr will be put back on queue after handling, with information on whether the request was confirmed or not.
The excess baggage must be paid in advance.
The confirmed excess baggage can be priced with the input FXG and the EMD must be issued immediately after confirmation.
In case it is not possible to issue the EMD, Helpdesk will issue the payment and will need credit card information's in order to do so.
