All reservations for a deaf passenger without escort or travel companion should contain an SR element. Deaf passengers are not to be regarded as persons with reduced mobility.

Segment association is mandatory for reservation on Air Greenland.
Passengers with severe hearing difficulties, even when using a hearing aid, could in this respect be considered as deaf.
This should be advised for the well-being and comfort of the deaf passenger when flying.
A service dog accompanying a deaf passenger can always be brought in the cabin free of charge, regardless of the weight of the dog.
Request for the service dog must always be made in advance.

Blind passengers
A blind passenger should not be considered disabled.
If the blind passenger is travelling alone, the passenger should be able to travel alone and take care of themselves during the entire journey.
Special information is provided for blind passengers concerning safety and emergency exits onboard the aircraft.
There is no personal service otherwise.

Seeing eye dog A seeing eye dog accompanying a blind passenger can be carried free of charge, regardless of the weight of the dog.

Discount for companion of a blind passenger
A 100% discount of the fare is give to the person accompanying the blind passenger, but the taxes and a fee must be collected to cover administration costs.

Requirements: A written requisition from the Danish Blind Association must be provided in order to give the discount.
A ticket may only be issued against payment of the above mentioned charges to an adult accompanying a blind passenger (not adequately if not accompanied before, during and after the flights).
A passenger that is both blind and deaf must not travel alone and a companion is required.
Language or communication difficulties (LANG)
In some cases, Air Greenland can assist passengers who have difficulties communicating with airport personnel and need interpretation or translation.

Meet and assist (MAAS)
Air Greenland offers a special assistance SR MAAS (meet and assist) for passengers who need help during their journey. This could be elderly needing help with their baggage, passengers traveling with 2 infants or passengers not used to travelling who need help etc.

Note: SR MAAS GL is not allowed to use for unaccompanied children between 5 and 11 years old or young passengers under 16 years old. If speciel service is needed for these passengertypes, please use SR UMNR.
Unaccompanied minors (UMNR)
Air Greenland accepts confirmed bookings in advance for unaccompanied minors travelling with Air Greenland.
Definition:
An unaccompanied minor is:
- A child 5-11 years (incl.) old, travelling without an adult.
- A child 12-15 years (incl.) old, travelling without an adult.
A child under 12 years must travel as UMNR when travelling together with a young person between 12-15 years.
Note: A child under the age of 5 years can not travel as a UMNR and must travel together with a person of 16 years or older.
A reservation for UMNR service must be provided with the name, address and phone number for the contact person in the departure city, transit city (except SFJ) and arrival city. Contact information is not required when the minor is travelling via SFJ, where the child will be provided a childcare service. There are no other airport/transits that provide childcare services. The person who accompanies the minor to the airport must remain at the airport until the flight has taken off. The person who meets the minor upon arrival must prove his/her identity. This is required in order to make sure that the minor is met by the person stated in the handling advice.

PAYMENT:
The charge for an UMNR service is DKK 250 per one-way journey on Air Greenland. Only one service charge must be made on one ticket when siblings travel together as UMNR.
Special seating
It is possible to request special seating for different reasons. Depending on the reason, some of the extra seat blocking can be charged for.
Seat blocking with no additional charge can be made for the following passenger types:
- Oversized passenger needing and extra seat
- Passengers with Parkinson’s disease (jitters)
- Passengers who require an extra seat due to physical extent not being able to sit in a seat
Seat blocking can be charged for the following passenger types:
- Passengers needing and extra seat, E.g. leg-rest, due to leg injuries
- Extra seat request due to personal comfort
Wheelchair
Disabled passengers and other passenger who have difficulty getting to/from and onboard and aircraft often require the assistance of a wheelchair and need to be carried into and/or off the aircraft.
Air Greenland can provide both services.
Exceptions: Due to short connection times and direct boarding in certain flight a minimum of 45 min. connection time is needed.
This restriction only applies for travel between CPH and GOH v.v. and other destinations for which there might be alternative connections.
A passenger who is completely immobile must be accompanied during the entire journey. This applies, for example, to passenger who are physically handicapped (WCHC) and who are unable to use the toilet and/or move to the emergency exit unaided.
Wheelchair assistance and assistance being carried on and off the aircraft must be requested before departure. There are 3 types of wheelchair assistance, please check what kind of help the passenger needs before inserting the SR element.
WCHR RAMP: PASSENGER CAN ASCEND/DESCEND STEPS AND IS ABLE TO MOVE

TO/FROM THE CABIN SEAT. A COMPANION IS REQUIRED FOR THE
WHOLE JOURNEY.
Passenger weight is always required if a journey goes to or through SFJ, for which is a requirement from the service handling company – this only applies for WCHS and WCHC transitting SFJ.

The passenger can bring a power driven wheelchairs if it has non-spillable batteries. In case the power driven wheelchair runs on spillable/wet batteries, the wheelchair is not accepted at check in and must be referred to cargo.
If the passenger is bringing his/her own wheelchair, please specify wheelchair type (manual or power driven), dimensions (collapsed, if possible), weight and passenger reference. The wheelchair (1 per disabled passenger) is carried free of charge in addition to the checked baggage allowance.
