Dupe bookings are PNRs that have been duplicated either in another booking or segments that have been duplicated in same PNR.
The Agent must not create a Duplicated Booking for any reason or duplicate any reservation booked by another branch or agency or stored in another CRS/GDS or GL's reservation system.
It is the responsibility of the Agent to determine if the customer already made a booking and to ensure cancellation on time.
Duplicated bookings will be scrutinized, risk cancellation and/or ADM.
Ticketed duplicate segments or PNRs must be cancelled according to fare, cancellation and refund rules.
ANYTIME: GL is not responsible to inform about duplicated PNRs.
Duplicate PNR
In case of a possible duplicated PNR, the PNR is automatically set on responsible office queue to be actioned.
The responsible office will usually be informed with a SSR information:
SSR OTHS 1A DUPLICATED WITH XXXXXX XX X-SET DDMMMYY/TIME
Agent in responsible queueing office must ensure if passenger is dupe or not.
If the passenger or PNR is not a duplicate the agent must contact Air Greenland Helpdesk to insert a SSR element to ignore the duplicate warning element.
Duplicate segments in reservation
GL will cancel duplicate segments in reservations, following the Condition of Carriage Rules. If several segments to/from same destination are booked in the same PNR, the system will handle it as a Dupe and cancel duplicate segments, even if segments have different travel dates.
Cancellations may be avoided by issuing tickets for all segments at the same time, or book in different PNR`s.
The selling office will always be informed with a SSR information: SSR OTHS DUPE SPACE CNLD CPHGOH DD/MM/YY.
If the selling office claims there is an error and wants to reinstate a cancelled segment, GL must be contacted within 24 hours after the cancellation.
